There is my sister in a rare moment with Tae sleeping by her.....I love my sister...she had become a cherished friend,...even if sometimes she is a slacker blogger. :)
So Demeree and I decided we needed a day by the water, after checking out Sand Hollow and not wanting to pay $10 for a short day, we got there at 3pm....we tried Quail Lake only to leave because we didn't want to pay $8....well we decided why not FREE? So we went to a spot on the Virgin River....and had a blast of a day, the kids decided to paint themselves in mud and be aliens....and Tae and I had a blast, even though I look weird in that picture.....and Taren enjoying his little make-shift hut...:)
it seems like I have soo much to write about and do not know where to start....so I will write about the field when I get back from the field on Monday, however....right now I am going to write about my sweet boys.....I am having soooo much fun with them right now, Taren is getting on a schedule more and Taegyn is really stepping into being more autonomous....he is so much fun to play with and make laugh. I can't believe it, I have this one test and I am done with my undergrad, I really feel like after this week things will slow down a little for me and I will be able to not have so many things on my "plate" and I can enjoy the rest of the summer here since that goes till about the end of September in St. George....anyway here are some really cute pictures...I don't mess around with the swaddle wrap! and here is Taegyn when Grandma K took us out to lunch when I was visiting Provo. :)
Well I have been in the field and then immediately went home to spend some time with my uncles from my dads side and just have not found the time to write...not to mention studying for my finals this next week, so I have lots of fabulous pictures and there is more blogging to come I promise....just wait a little longer...:)
Well Tae got these awesome work gloves from Beth....where the heck does she find these cool things...she always comes up with something really fun to give the boys....so he was so excited to put them on and run around with them, what a riot he is....enjoy the picture...I am going in to the field this weekend so I am bringing my camera for sure, I don't have enough field pictures...so they should be good, me and my bug suit and all, I have to wear it this time of year so the little annoying nat things don't bite my ears and face....anyway more later...:)
Oh and the other picture...yeah if you notice Tae has a huge bruise on his forhead...well when we were at the my womens game thursday, he was in the stroller and I was changing Taren on my lap and Tae decided to get out of the stoller himself, and plop fell out head first onto the cement, it was so sad, he looked at me like why didn't you catch me.....and then I couldn't immediately hold him because I was holding Taren....I felt so bad...but he came through alright!
Well I have missed playing softball, slow-pitch, women's, co-ed, you name it....and now I find myself swimming with softball playing opportunities.....so I am on a co-ed team that plays on tuesday nights, a women's league that plays on thursday nights and we had a tournament this last weekend called the Heatstroker and you play late at night to beat the july heat here in St. George....whew....thats a lot of softball....we did ok in the Heatstroker, it was a women's team, mostly I just have a great time playing and I am hitting pretty well. The only thing that was hard about this tourny is that we played throughout the night, we had games at 11pm, 1am, and 2am....man it is hard for me to stay up that late these days....all good fun, plus it made it easy to check for updates to see if Bri had Caleb yet.....now I am looking forward to going into the field this weekend, then home to provo to see my uncles from Texas...should be fun times....oh and school finishes up these next 2 weeks, so I have finals too.....:)
So this rarely happens and I LOVE it when it does, I am not saying that Tae isn't a cuddler, because he is....but he is very picky about sleeping and being comfortable, the fact that we both fell asleep and he snuggled the whole time is AWESOME....so other good news, I am 1 month away from finishing my undergrad degree...and I just got a 97/100 in my really hard psychometrics class so I am rocking it....I just started playing softball on tuesday nights with a co-ed league and then thursday nights is womens....and this weekend I have the heat stroker tourny....it is lots of fun and I enjoy being able to play again....with fun people. Shads knee is coming along, slower than he'd like, but it is getting better, he is fully back and working and I know some of you may think I am crazy, but after much deliberation and seeing how much Shad LOVES Mony....we have decided to keep her...she can go in the field with me and then when Shad goes to work, she goes with him. She's great around the kids...she likes me....but absolutely LOVES Shad....how could I say NO? Anyway it is soooo hot here, I can't wait till july and AUgust are over....Tae's birthday is coming up...:)
So my dad LOVES to golf and so does my brother Spencer....Kp picked it up because she realized it would be a great game to learn and be able to spend lots of time with my Dad and brother....and all of our fun uncles....so I am on the golf bandwagon...I don't practice a lot yet, but for not playing very much, I can hit the ball really well sometimes....this picture is of me golfing with my family and having a blast, now I am not good enought to know yet if I have good form or not yet, but I don't care about that right now...I just like having fun with the fam...even on melting hot days in St. George...plus it means so much to my dad to have us all out there with him....how can I not play?
Well I bought some sidewalk chalk a little while ago...it was only $1 and let me tell you all out there....it had been one of the best dollars EVER spent....Taegyn LOVES to draw on the sidewalk and make fun little pictures and he also like to have others draw fun pictures for him as well, I don't know how it happens but he just gets more fun every day....
So I thought it would be fun to get some little fireworks and do them at the house for the 4th of July and that Tae would have a blast doing them with us....well not so much, the first one we did made these loud popping sounds and that was it....he wanted nothing to do with them.....here is the sequence of events...we started out with the little pop things, you throw on the ground, no big deal, and he even did ok with the flowers, but the popping loud ones that sound a little like a gun shot...yeah no good on those ones....he wouldn't leave my lap for awhile...:) The bottom picture is of his very first firework, no smiles there, the next few are a cute sequence of some we lit when he was with grandpa...:) and the very top one is fun times with grandpa and sparklers....Tae is still to little to understand they could burn him, so we just had grandpa hold them....
Ok how can you not LOVE this picture....I mean come on.....:) So Shad was grilling steaks for all of us and Taegyn wanted to play outside in the this little pool, he LOVES playing with the hose, well before you know it, Shad went and grabbed his swimsuit and played with Tae and they sprayed each other with the hose, it was so cute and fun to see Shad make quality time with his boy. I have such a fun and amazing husband who is such a great daddy! We had a blast of a 4th of July weekend with family in town, we went golfing, played games, watched movies and played my favorite game - make me laugh....which is all of us trying to pull silly faces or say funny lines to make someone laugh, I lose everytime and end up crying I have laughed so hard. We also went to Canyon's baptism which was great and then the last day everyone was here (Kristen, Spencer, Mom and Dad, and Kristen's friend Amanda...)we blessed Taren. Overall it was such a great weekend....I love my family and spending time with them. :) Don't be fooled either....it looks like Shad is totally drowning Taegyn, but Tae got him back....plus he loved it! He was trying to get a drink from the hose and KP snapped this picture....
Well today was a special day for Taren, he was blessed today and Shad gave such a sweet blessing which I will post later, geez I feel like after this weekend I could post 50 new blogs and 100 new pictures....guess I will have to weed some out...anyway what a great day today was, I am so grateful for my wonderful family, my awesome husband and my beautiful boys who chose to live with us...:)

well Taegyn has officially entered a new realm of emotions and behavior, seriously it is like overnight he has more awareness and with that comes more expressed emotions and the result of those is behaviors that are at times interesting...I guess I really understand why some would label turning 2 the "terrible twos..." but really it is just kids figuring out more of the world and how things work, Tae surely throws some more intense fits but I am excited to watch him grow and learn about life....and on the whole he listens and is pretty mellow, this is my absolute favorite face that he pulls when he does not get something he wants, or has to go to time out....I love it! I also tease him now about the face and it has turned into a game, I say lets see your pouty face and he pulls it and then tries not to laugh...but he always ends of laughing...(the first picture is of him pulling the face, and the second is him trying not to laugh..) I love him! Seriously how did I get soooo lucky with such awesome kids...enjoy..
